For the first time, the complete recordings made in Montreal and Paris between 1950 and 1957 are brought together here. Unknown propelled onto the Parisian stages, “the Canadian” Félix Leclerc became in a few days, thanks to his appearances at the ABC and Aux Trois Baudets , a huge star of new French song. The first of the “guitar operation” according to Brassens , he opened the way to a whole generation of songwriters and performers.

A popular poet nourished by nature and the vast spaces of his country, an authentic writer and subtle melodist, Félix Leclerc became, almost without wanting to, the incarnation of Quebec of which he remains, twenty years after his death, one of the most large figures.
